A Headhunter Named Taumanua

A Headhunter Named Taumanua

$0.00

A headhunter from Papaua,
Was known by the name Taumamua.
If you stumbled on his home
he'd grin and bid you "well come."
First he'd boil and then he would chew ya.

Your head Tam would never eat,
Though it was tastiest of treats.
For lips, tongues and eyeses
were strictly visual prizes:
but he'd feast from your neck to your feet.

By now it's certain you've learned
the tables summarily turned,
when, hunting, along came ol' Fred
to snatch Taumamua's own head.
On this shelf, a place of honor it's earned.

Taumamua is resin, chicken bone, paper mache, mussel shell, fabric, a bell from Tibet, lobster shell, a small gourd, beads, leather and a seashell.

His base is brick.  He is painted with acrylics and sealed with clear enamel.
