Join us on February 4 & 5, 2023 for the 48th annual Mount Dora Arts Festival held on the streets of historic downtown Mount Dora, Florida. Experience 300 fine artists lined along the streets to showcase a vast array of incredible talent in this juried event. There will be entertainment, beer, wine, cocktails, music and festival food to round out the amazing weekend. The event runs 9am-5pm on Saturday and 9am-4pm on Sunday and is FREE to attend.

Explore an eclectic mix of fine art & crafts at the 71st Annual Beaux Arts Festival, South Florida’s oldest juried art fest held on the campus of the University of Miami. The festival features original art work from over 220 juried exhibitors. Artists and artisans showcase works categorized into 10 mediums that include oil and acrylics, watercolor, photography, mixed media, graphics and drawing, ceramics, wood, digital art, glass and jewelry.

Besides plenty of art to explore, there will be live music, a myriad of dining options, art experiences for the younger set and free weekend admission to the Lowe Art Museum. This upcoming edition will be held at a new location on the UM campus, across from the Wastco Center by the Walsh Avenue serpentine parking lots.

The Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum is the only museum in the U.S. devoted solely to shells and the living mollusks that create them, and one of the best things to do on Sanibel Island. Opened in 1995, its mission is to connect people to the natural world through their love of shells. Extensive exhibits, programs and expertise inspire learning, support scientific research, and tell the story of mollusks and their importance.

Fredian Slips was chosen to display two pieces: “Oyster Ballet” Mixed Media Mask and “Fish Angel” Raku Sculpture with Florida Penn Shells

“Arizona Aqueous” has been a tradition at TCA for 34 years. This national juried exhibit engages artists from across the country working in traditional and contemporary methods that incorporate water media on paper. Water based pigments on paper must constitute the major portion of the work. Entries composed of paper constructions, paper sculpture, paper collage, cut paper, mobiles or two or three dimensional wall pieces, and installations are eligible. Artists are urged to enter work which is innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract
