I was a memento mori on a church in Rome.
On a cold stone wall, a somber gnome.
Oh! How those winters my bones did chill.
I fled to Miami of my own free will.
Now on this mask I make my home.
I am resin, penn shell from the west coast of Florida, fowl and mammal bone, resin, raku, wire and a bell from Meteora, Greece. My tie is a great grandmother's costume jewelry chain.
My base is raku. I am painted with acrylics and sealed with clear enamel.
