Count Sheldon Von Pepperman from East Bavaria,
was eine kleine prone to microbial hysteria.
So he sailed to the tropics
with beacoups antibiotics,
promptly fell ill and died of malaria.

With suitable pomp he was buried at sea.
‘Oer the ships’ port gunnel his ashes here freed.
Near the Key’s Islamorada hump
he floated down, to rest in a clump,
and be gobbled by a lobster with greed.

The crawfish dined with barely a chew
and after digesting, in some time grew
as befitting a Germanic clan,
a handlebar moustache of razor clam
and a magnificent lobster-manchu.

Sheldon is fashioned from papier-mache, a cowrie shell, razor clam shells, oyster shell, other small shells, Florida lobster tails, dolls eyes, resin, brick, wire and fishing tackle.

He is painted with acrylics and sealed with clear enamel.
