Lobsterstein

Lobsterstein

You've heard of Grimm's lobster tales?
Stories of mollusks, crustaceans and whales?
The Grimm's of us here,
one thing we do share;
we were part of some seafoody meals.
So you fathom whence I'm come,
to rest top a mask, no longer on run.
fugitive am I now and once have been,
from someone's cuisine, in a silver tureen
or a buttery lobster roll bun
Of late my mixed genes are 100 per cent mine.
My head, a tad odd, may need redesign.
But to greet you I'm quite keen,
call me Monsieur Lobsterstein,
or perhaps it is M. Lobsterstien.
I am papier-mâché, Maine and Florida lobster shell, doll's eyes, mussel shells and a piece of dead coral. I am painted with acrylics and sealed with clear enamel.
