The Magical Unicorn (as if there were any other kind)

The Magical Unicorn (as if there were any other kind)

$0.00

Hello to you stranger, it's magical me.
I once fell to the ground, a frond from a tree.
Destined at most
to decay as compost;
a unicorn thought I, I'd much rather be.

Though goblins and wraiths inhabit my home,
sharing the night with monsters and gnomes,
terror of Mordor I happily lack,
for the wizard Mithrander's affixed to my back,
deterring demons, devils and other unwelcomes.

I am made of a palm frond, papier-mâché, resin, filigree mesh, glass eyes, costume jewelry, a cameo of Ian McKellan as Gandalf, a seashell, a sea glass marble and a beer label from Greece.

My base is Irma wood (from a tree felled by Hurricane Irma), raku and resin.

I am painted with acrylics and sealed with clear enamel.
