Bacchus

Bacchus

$0.00

God of theater, fertility and wine,
known to imbibe of, from time to time;
Dionysus am I, to the vernacular Greek.
Truth in the raisin's my life's work to seek.
Indeed, I have taken veritas from the vine.

Sauvignon Blanc with baked cod,
Chardonnay with the sea's clawed,
Cabernet with big roasts,
Champagne is for toasts;
None of these choices is flawed.

To the Romans I'm Bacchus.
My Bacchanals are quite raucous.
I ride on this bottle,
A drunk Aristotle.
My demeanor will always be thus.

I am resin, wine labels, corks, beads, deconstructed costume jewelry, Penn shells, tin foil and a resin souvenir from Rome. My base is raku. I am painted with acrylics and sealed with clear enamel.

And the wine?...Oh the wine!
